On the Lauwerier formulation of the temperature field problem in oil strata (Q2575964)

The oil extraction process is facilitated when hot water or steam is injected into the strata. The problem of describing the temperature field in linear and radial injections leads to three formulations. In the formulation of Lauwerier the horizontal heat transfer in the strata is ignored. This paper is concerned with the fractional generalization of Lauwerier formulation to the problem of temperature field description in a porous medium (sandstone) saturated with oil (strata). The solution of the derived boundary value problem is obtained in an integral form in terms of a convolution of two special functions.
