\(R\) denotes a ring with identity and \(M\) a right \(R\)-module with \(S=\text{End}(M_R)\). By \(\ell_Mr_R(m)\) is meant all \(z\in M\) such that \(mx=0\) implies \(zx=0\) for any \(x\in R\). A module \(M\) is called almost principally quasi-injective (APQ-injective) if, for any \(m\in M\), there exists an \(S\)-submodule \(X_m\) of \(M\) such that \(\ell_Mr_R(m)=S_m\oplus X_m\) with \(m\notin X_m\). Properties of APQ-injective modules are studied and for \(M_R\) APQ-injective, necessary and sufficient conditions are found for \(S\) to be right perfect. Necessary conditions for \(S\) to be semiprimary are also found. A module \(M_R\) is said to be quasiprincipally injective (AQP-injective) if, for any \(s\in S\), there exists a left ideal \(V_s\) of \(S\) such that \(\ell_S(\ker(s))=S_s\oplus X_s\) as left \(S\)-modules. The relationship between the AQP-injectivity of a module \(M_R\) and the almost principal injectivity (AP-injectivity) of its endomorphism ring is investigated. If an AQP-injective module is a self-generator, then the Jacobson radical \(J(S)\) equals the set \(W(S)=\{w\in S\mid\ker(w)\subseteq^{ess}M\}\). AQP-injective rings are shown to satisfy the \(C_2\)-condition, implying that AP-injective rings are right \(C_2\)-rings.
