This paper concerns \(L^q\)-estimates for the gradient of the weak solution \(u=u(t,x):\Omega \to \mathbb R^n\) of evolutional \(p\)-Laplacian systems with discontinuous coefficients and external force given by the divergence of BMO-functions: \[ \partial_t u- \sum_{\alpha,\beta} D_\alpha\left(| Du-F| _g^{p-2}g^{\alpha\beta}(D_\beta u-F_\beta)\right) = \sum_{\alpha,\beta} D_\alpha\left(| G| _g^{p-2}g^{\alpha\beta}G_\beta\right)\quad \text{ in } (0,\infty)\times \Omega, \] where \(q \geq p > 2m/(m+2)\), \(\Omega\) is a bounded domain in \(\mathbb R^m\), \(D_\alpha = \frac{\partial}{\partial x^\alpha},\;u = (u^i),\;D u=(D_\alpha u^i)\), and where \(F = (F^i_\alpha),\;G = (G^i_\alpha)\) are given vector-valued functions of locally bounded mean oscillation, and \(g = (g^{\alpha\beta})\) is a symmetric matrix with measurable coefficients of locally vanishing mean oscillation having the uniform ellipticity, and \(| \xi| ^2_g = \sum g^{\alpha\beta}\xi_\alpha^i\xi_\beta^i\) for \(\xi = (\xi_\alpha^i) \in \mathbb R^{mn}\). The author considers the system as a perturbation of the \(p\)-Laplacian systems with constant coefficients only having a principal part. The main task is to choose the ``good'' parabolic cylinders on which the \(L^\infty\) and Hölder estimates for the gradients of weak solutions of such \(p\)-Laplacian systems can be improved to be well worked in the perturbation arguments. The result may be regarded as a partial generalization of the Calderón-Zygmund theory in \(L^q\) estimates for the parabolic operator of second order to the evolutional \(p\)-Laplacian.
