The variety of quasigroups satisfying the identity \((xy)(zy)=xz\) connected to groups offers a new look at groups and their multiplication table. Several authors have characterized groups using the operation of right division instead of the operation of multiplication \(x\cdot y\) [see \textit{M. Ward}, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 32, 520-526 (1930; JFM 56.0136.02)]. In this paper the authors suggest that there are some advantages connected to the added symmetry of the multiplication tables. In fact these tables are a reincarnation of the group matrices which Frobenius used to give the first account of group representation theory. The authors show that every group matrix may be written as a block circulant matrix and that this result leads to partial diagonalization of groups matrices. The authors also discuss a generalization of Ward quasigroups. The name Ward quasigroups was coined by us in 1978 [see \textit{J. Machado Cardoso} and \textit{C. Pereira da Silva}, An. Ştiinţ. Univ. Al. I. Cuza Iaşi, N. Ser., Secţ. Ia 24, 231-233 (1978; Zbl 0413.20053)]. We solved a problem concerned with the structures of quasigroups and groups in the same set. On page 2, we gave the definition of Ward quasigroup. We also studied Ward quasigroups corresponding to Abelian groups, called subtractive quasigroups [see \textit{C. Pereira da Silva}, Rev. Colomb. Mat. 12, 91-96 (1978; Zbl 0421.20036)]. In that paper we showed that Ward quasigroups are quasigroups satisfying the identity: \((x*y)*(z*y)=x*z\).
