The famous Antosik-Mikusiński matrix theorem [\textit{P. Antosik }and \textit{C. Swartz}, Matrix methods in analysis (Lecture Notes in Mathematics 1113, Springer-Verlag, Berlin) (1985; Zbl 0564.46001)] states the following: Let \(G\) be an Abelian topological group and \(x_{ij}\in G\) \((i,j\in\mathbb{N})\). Suppose (a) \(\lim_i x_{ij}=:x_j\) exists \((j\in\mathbb{N})\) and (b) for each strictly increasing sequence of positive integers \((m_j)\) there exists a subsequence \((n_j)\) such that \(\left( \sum_j x_{in_j}\right)_{i\in\mathbb{N}}\) is a Cauchy sequence in \(G\). Then \(\lim_i x_{ij}=x_j\) uniformly in \(j\in\mathbb{N}\); in particular, \(\lim_ix_{ii}=0\). This theorem has been extended in different directions. In this paper, the authors present the matrix theorem in four equivalent forms and show that three uniform convergence principles of \textit{C. Swartz} [Infinite matrices and the gliding hump (World Scientific, Singapore) (1996; Zbl 0923.46003)] are all equivalent to the matrix theorem.
