The paper considers the problem of minimizing an integral functional (coercive with respect to the control \(u\)) on the pairs \((y,u)\) satisfying the parabolic equation \[ y_t-\Delta y+f(x,t,y)=u \text{ in }(0,T)\times\Omega \] (with the standard initial and zero Dirichlet boundary conditions) with the additional state constraint \(F(y)\in W\) of the integral type. Here \(\Omega\subset R^n\) is a bounded domain with a smooth boundary and it is assumed that \[ |f(x,t,y)|\leq c(1+|y|^q)\text{ with }q<\frac n{n-2}. \] By using perturbations of the type \[ f\to f+\varepsilon y|y|^{\frac 2{n-2}} \] the author shows that solutions of approximated problems converge strongly to the solution of the original problem (if it exists) and derives the optimality system for the original problem.
