For the interpolation with radial basis functions and its usefulness, the knowledge of convergence estimates and approximation orders is essential. For this purpose, certain embeddings of function spaces are important because they are used (often following Duchon's celebrated results) in the convergence theorems. In this paper, the often used Beppo-Levi spaces are embedded in Hölder-Zygmund spaces thus making it possible to improve upon the known convergence results. A couple of examples of univariate splines and the ubiquitous thin-plate splines is given.
