The authors study the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions to the one-dimensional \(p\)-Laplacian differential equation \[ (\varphi_p(u'))'+ a(t)f(u,u')=0 \] with one fo the following two sets of boundary conditions: \(u'(0)=u(1)=0\) or \(u(0)=u(1)=0\). Here, \(\varphi_p (s)=|s|^{p-2}s\) with \(p>1\). The functions \(f\) and a take positive values, \(f\) is continuous and \(a\) is measurable and integrable.
