Well-posed solvability of nonlocal boundary value problems for systems of hyperbolic equations (Q2583641)

For a two dimensional second order system of hyperbolic equations one considers a boundary value problem with data on characteristics. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the well posed solvability of the problem have been shown by the authors in a paper published in [Dokl. Math. 68, No. 1, 46--48 (2003); translation from Dokl. Akad. Nauk, Ross. Akad. Nauk 391, No. 3, 295--297 (2003; Zbl 1130.35351)]. In the present article one proves some necessary and sufficient conditions for the well posed unique solvability of the problem.
