Hyperbolic equations of Von Karman type (Q258709)

The authors present some recent results regarding weak and semi-strong solutions to a system of Von Karman type coupled by an elliptic and a hyperbolic evolution equation in \(\mathbb{R}^{2m}\) with \(m\geq2\). In particular, the existence of weak global solutions, and the existence and uniqueness of a local semi-strong solution in the case \(m = 2\) are given, under a smallness assumption on the initial values.
