Isometries on the unit sphere of the \(\ell_1\)-sum of strictly convex normed spaces (Q258988)

The paper under review is closely related to \textit{D. Tingley}'s problem of extension of isometries between the unit spheres of Banach spaces proposed in [Geom. Dedicata 22, 371--378 (1987; Zbl 0615.51005)]. More precisely, the extension property of isometries on the unit sphere of the \(\ell_1\)-sum of strictly normed spaces is studied. The author gives some sufficient conditions so that such isometries can be extended to the whole space.
