A generalization of the null pencil of binary quartics. (Q2595586)

Ein ``Null-Büschel'' von binären \(f_4 = a_x^4\) ist ein Büschel von \(f_4\), für welche die Invariante \((ab)^4\) verschwindet. Es wurde untersucht von \textit{Vaidyanathaswamy} (Proc. London math. Soc. (2) 23 (1924), 317-325; F. d. M. 50, 423 (JFM 50.0423.*)). Verf. verallgemeinert dessen Resultate auf lineare Systeme von \(\infty^{n-1}\) Formen \(f_{2n}\), die zu den \(n + 1\) Formen \[ x_1^2x_2^2 \ldots x_{r-1}^2x_{r+1}^2\ldots x_{n+1}^2 \qquad (r=1,2,\ldots,n+1) \] apolar sind. Dabei wird die rationale Normkurve im \(R_{2n}\) zur Darstellung der \(f_{2n}\) verwendet. (V 5 D.)
