Little is known about the existence of a ``good geometric flow'' for obtaining \(G_2\)-manifolds, i.e, a \(G_2\)-structure which is torsion free. In this paper, the author studies in detail the deformation of a \(G_2\)-structure on the cone \(C(S^3\times S^3)\) over the product of two 3-spheres by a certain PDE. This PDE corresponds actually to a system of evolution equations on the components of a positive 3-form. In this very particular case, the equation considered by the author can be solved explicitly. Consequently, the author obtains the convergence of the associated Riemannian metric towards the conical metric \(ds^2+s^2 g_{S^3\times S^3}\), modulo homotheties, when time tends to infinity.
