Verf. gibt die durch Auflösung einer gewöhnlichen linearen Differentialgleichung zweiter Ordnung gewonnenen Formeln für die Intensität der Absorptionslinien für den Fall, daß das Verhältnis der kontinuierlichen zur Linienabsorption innerhalb der Atmosphäre veränderlich ist. Die Ergebnisse werden mit den früheren Resultaten von \textit{Eddington} und \textit{Unsöld} verglichen.
