Recognition of plane-to-plane map-germs (Q260565)

In the paper under review, a complete set of criteria for detecting \(\mathcal{A}\)-types of corank one germs with \(\mathcal{A}\)-codimension \(\leq 6\) is given. One can use such criteria in a two-step process: The first one is about geometric conditions on specified jets for topological \(\mathcal{A}\)-types in terms of intrinsic derivatives, and the second one is about algebraic conditions on Taylor coefficients of germs with each specified jet, which are obtained by describing explicitly all the required coordinate changes of source and target of map-germs which are hidden in the classification process. As an application of such criteria, the generic classification of singularities arising in parallel or central projections of a surface in \(3\)-space is given.
