The main result of this paper is that, over an algebraically closed field of characteristic \(0\), if \(X\) is a normal projective surface which has dense globally \(F\)-split type (resp. globally \(F\)-regular type), then there exists an effective \(\mathbb{Q}\)-divisor \(\Delta\) on \(X\) such that \((X,\Delta)\) is log Calabi-Yau (resp. log Fano). This answers a question of \textit{K. Schwede} and \textit{K. E. Smith} [Adv. Math. 224, No. 3, 863--894 (2010; Zbl 1193.13004)] in the surface case. The main ingredient of the proof is to show that taking Zariski decomposition of the anti-canonical divisor of a surface of dense globally \(F\)-spit type commutes with taking redution modulo \(p\). It should be noted that the main result in the globally \(F\)-regular case was proved independently (and using different methods) by \textit{S. Okawa} [``Surfaces of globally F-regular type are of Fano type'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1506.04900}], and by \textit{D. Hwang} and \textit{J. Park} [Math. Z. 280, No. 1--2, 211--229 (2015; Zbl 1332.14048)].
