The authors consider a two-phase problem for flows of compressible barotropic viscous fluids without surface tension in \(\mathbb R^N\), \(N > 1\). Equations are based on conservation laws including the continuity equation. Transforming the time-dependent domain to a fixed one the authors prove local (wrt time) existence and uniqueness of a weak solution (\(L_p\) in time and \(L_q\) in space with \(p>2\) and \(q>N\)) under an assumption about the smoothness (in the Sobolev sense) of the original domain.
