The paper is devoted to the group analysis of one-dimensional Rapoport-Leas equations of the form \[ u_t+(\varphi(u))_x=(\Phi(u))_{xx}, \tag{1} \] where \(u\) is a saturation function depending on time \(t\) and space coordinate \(x\), and \(\varphi\), \(\Phi\) are given functions. This equation describes one-dimensional displacement of immiscible liquids taking the capillary forces into account. Using methods of geometric theory of differential equations, the author calculated symmetries of equations (1) and described pairs of functions \((\Phi,\varphi)\), for which the symmetry algebra is non-trivial (i.e. has dimension more than 2). He also computed differential invariant algebras, their basic differential invariants and invariant derivations.
