Algorithm for construction of volume forms on toric varieties starting from a convex integer polytope (Q2628791)

In this paper a method is presented to construct volume forms on toric varieties from the Newton polytope, as well as related forms serving as kernels for the integral representations. This method is based on earlier work of \textit{A.~Shchuplev} et al. [Proc. Steklov Inst. Math. 253, 256--274 (2006; Zbl 1351.32010)]. The constructed volume forms are analogs to the volume form of the Fubini-Study metric on complex projective space. The proposed method is implemented as a computer algorithm and is verified on three examples with the CAS Maple. The authors claim that the constructed volume forms can be used for integral representations of holomorphic functions of several complex variables in polycircular domains (that is, the intersection of circular disks) in multidimensional complex space. The presented algorithm is composed of three major components, each implemented individually: (1) constructing the fan of a toric variety from the Newton polytope, (2) constructing a toric variety from a fan, (3) constructing the volume form, as well as the corresponding differential form of the kernel of the integral representation, from known characteristics of the toric variety in question. Reviewer's remark: The translation of this paper into English is not quite accurate when compared to the Russian original [Programmirovanie 42, No. 2 (2016)]. In particular, the original references to Sadykov's two papers are missing in the English translation.
