As stated in the title, the main purpose of this article is to study families of Bergman kernels which depend on a parameter. Let \(\text{PSH}^-(\Omega)\) denote the set of negative plurisubharmonic functions on \(\Omega\). Definition. A domain \(\Omega\subset \mathbb C^n\) is called hyperconvex if there exists a continuous function \(\rho\in\text{PSH}^-(\Omega)\) such that \(\{\rho<c\}\subset\subset\Omega\) for every \(c<0\). Theorem 1.1. Let \(\Omega\subset \mathbb C^n\) be a bounded hyperconvex domain. Assume that \(\{\phi_j\}\subset \text{PSH}^-(\Omega)\) satisfies condition \((*)\) in Definition 1.1 and \(\phi_j\) converges almost everywhere on \(\Omega\) to a function \(\phi\in \text{PSH}^-(\Omega)\). Let \(K_j\) (resp. \(K\)) be the Bergman kernel with weight \(\phi_j\) (resp. \(\phi\)) on \(\Omega\). Then \(K_j(z,w)\) converges locally uniformly to \(K(z,w)\) on \(\Omega\times\Omega\). Corollary 1.2. Let \(\Omega\subset \mathbb C^n\) be a bounded hyperconvex domain and \(\phi_t\in \text{PSH}^-(\Omega)\), \(-1<t<1\). Let \(K_t\) be the Bergman kernel with weight \(\phi_t\) on \(\Omega\). Assume that \(e^{\phi_t(z)}\) is continuous in \((z,t)\in \Omega\times(-1,1)\). Then \(K_t(z,w)\) is continuous in \(t\). As noted by the author, the proof of Theorem 1.1 relies heavily on the \(L^2\) estimates by Donnelly-Fefferman; also a new proof of Berndtsson's openness theorem is given. Now let \(\{\Omega_t:-1<t<1\}\) be a family of bounded domains in \(\mathbb C^n\) and let \(\rho_t\) be a family of continuous exhaustion functions in \(\text{PSH}^-(\Omega_t)\). Then Definition 1.4 provides the notion of \(\rho_t\)-Hölder continuity of order \(\alpha\) with \(0<\alpha\leq 1\). In this setting, the author establishes the following: Theorem 1.4. Assume that for any \(t\in(-1,1)\) there exists \(\rho_t\) on \(\Omega_t\) such that the latter is \(\rho_t\) Hölder continuous of order \(\alpha\) over \((-1,1)\). Then the Bergman kernel \(K_t(z,w)\) of \(\Omega_t\) is Hölder continuous of order \(\beta\) in \(t\) for every \(\beta<\alpha\). As a consequence he obtains the following: Corollary 1.5. Let \(\Omega\subset \mathbb C^n\) be a pseudoconvex domain and \(\rho\) a continuous function in \(\text{PSH}^-(\Omega)\). Let \(\Omega_t:= \{z\in\Omega\mid\rho(z)< t\}\), \(t\in \mathbb R\). Then \(K_t(z,w)\) is Hölder continuous of order \(\alpha\) in \(t\) for every \(\alpha<1\).
