Denote the associated graded ring of a module \(M\) over a local ring \((R,\mathfrak m, k)\) by \(\mathrm{gr}_{\mathfrak m}(M):=\bigoplus \mathfrak m^iM/ \mathfrak m^{i+1}M\). One can extend the definition by looking at descending chain \(\mathbb{M}:=\{M_i\}\) of submodules of \(M\) with \(\mathfrak m M_i\subset M_{i+1}\). The chain is called stable if eventually the equality holds. Let us denote the associated graded ring of the chain by \(\mathrm{gr}(\mathbb{M}):=\bigoplus M_i/M_{i+1}\). Let \(M\) and \(N\) be two finitely generated modules with stable chains. The main result of the paper gives a stable chain \(\mathbb{T}_i\) for \(\mathrm{Tor}^R_i(M,N)\) with the following property: The Hilbert series \(\sum_{i,j}\dim_k \mathrm{gr}(\mathbb{T}_i) _jx^iy^j\) follows from the Hilbert series \(\sum_{i,j}\dim_k (\mathrm{Tor}^{\mathrm{gr}_{\mathfrak m}(R)}_i(\mathrm{gr}(\mathbb{M}),\mathrm{gr}(\mathbb{N})) _jx^iy^j\).
