A note on \(O\)-uniformities and strongly proximal spaces (Q2630462)

In a topological setting, the authors analyze a special kind of uniformities that they call \(O\)-uniformities and give rise to the concept of subuniform spaces. On these spaces metrizability is studied and several sufficient conditons for metrizability are discussed. Other related notions, as weak and strong proximality are also introduced. It is proved that all strongly proximal topological spaces are perfect. Subspaces and products of strongly proximal spaces are also analyzed.
