The author considers the function space \(C_{k}(X,2)\) where \(2= \{0,1\}\) is the doubleton. \(C_{k}(X,Y)\) denotes the space of all continuous maps from \(X\) to \(Y\) endowed with the compact-open topology. For a zero-dimensional metric space \(X\), the author gives necessary and sufficient conditions for \(C_{k}(X,2)\) being an Ascoli space, a \(k\)-space, a sequential space, and a Fréchet-Urysohn space. He also produces a topological and algebraic structure of the space \(C_{k}(X,2)\) when it is an Ascoli space or a \(k\)-space or a sequential space, and shows that for a zero-dimensional metric space \(X\), \(C_{k}(X,2)\) has countable tightness if and only if \(X\) is separable.
