A model of geophysical flow for incompressible fluid with variable density and space periodic solutions is considered. Stratification and rotation effects (Coriolis force) are taken into account. The asymptotic behavior of solutions is studied in the limit of small Froude number. The analysis of dispersive effects is based on the concept of stratification buoyancy.
