The pentagram map was originally introduced by \textit{R. Schwartz} [Exp. Math. 1, No. 1, 71--81 (1992; Zbl 0765.52004)], and was defined on plane convex polygons. Later, the map was extended to include twisted polygons in dimension 2 as well. There are various attempts and different approaches to extend this map to higher dimensions. In this paper, the authors introduce ``the dented pentagram maps'' as the integrable generalised pentagram maps that unify the previous approaches. For these dented pentagram maps, the authors describe their geometry, their Lax representation and, in dimension 3, it is proven their algebraic-geometric integrability.
