Using Günter derivatives, when \(u\) is a \(\mathbb{C}^n\)-valued function, a regularized Schrödinger-Günter operator is defined on an open subset \(V\) in \(M\times\mathbb{R}_+\) where \(M\) is a Riemannian manifold in \(\mathbb{R}^n\). Following ideas of \textit{E. Calabi} [Duke Math. J. 25, 45--56 (1958; Zbl 0079.11801)] and \textit{J. Dodziuk} [Indiana Univ. Math. 32, 703--716 (1983; Zbl 0526.58047)], the authors introduce a setting wherein they can formulate an extension of the classical (weak) maximum principle as presented by Dodziuk [loc. cit.]. This weak version allows a maximum to occur both on the boundary and at interior points. A second theorem asserts a strong form of the maximum principle which has its proof as an adaptation of one presented in Chapter 3 by \textit{M. H. Protter} and \textit{H. F. Weinberger} [Maximum principles in differential equations. New York etc.: Springer-Verlag (1984; Zbl 0549.35002)]. Lines of proof from Dodziuk [loc. cit.] are also used to obtain a uniqueness result for bounded solutions of the regularized Schrödinger-Günter problem on some manifolds and thereafter to present a method for constructing a fundamental solution for the regularized Schrödinger-Günter equation. The latter part of the article develops explicit representation formulas for the fundamental solution to the equation on a class of conformally flat cylinders and tori.
