Completions of monoid objects and descent results (Q2636371)

The purpose of the paper under review is to prove some descent results for schemes over an abelian closed symmetric monoidal categories satisfying certain conditions. The first result is the analogue of the descent theorem for non-Noetherian rings proved by \textit{A. Beauville} and \textit{Y. Laszlo} [C. R. Acad. Sci., Paris, Sér. I 320, No. 3, 335--340 (1995; Zbl 0852.13005)]. The second result the author obtain an analogue of a descent theorem of \textit{D. Ferrand} and \textit{M. Raynaud} [Ann. Sci. Éc. Norm. Supér. (4) 3, 295--311 (1970; Zbl 0204.36601)]. The third descent results is an analogue of a descent result of \textit{L. Moret-Bailly} [Bull. Soc. Math. Fr. 124, No. 4, 559--585 (1996; Zbl 0914.13002)]. The author hopes that his results can eventually be extended to the framework of homotopical algebraic geometry.
