2-local derivations on matrix algebras over commutative regular algebras (Q2637116)

The paper is devoted to the question whether 2-local derivations are derivations. The first main result characterizes commutative von Neumann regular complex algebras having 2-local derivations that are not derivations. The second main result states that every 2-local derivation of the matrix algebra \(M_n(A)\), where \(n\geq 2\) and \(A\) is a commutative von Neumann regular complex algebra, is a derivation.
