The authors prove that, for each Riemannian manifold \((M,g)\) of dimension \(m> 2\) with positive constant sectional curvature, there exists a Riemannian \(g\)-natural metric \(G\) on the unit tangent sphere bundle \(T_1M\) over \((M,g)\) such that \((T_1 M,\widetilde G)\) is a locally homogeneous Einstein manifold, whose horizontal and vertical distributions are orthogonal. Moreover, using the bijective correspondence between all \(\text{SO}(m+1)\)-invariant homogeneous metrics on the Stiefel manifold \(V_2\mathbb{R}^{m+1}= \text{SO}(m+1)/\text{SO}(m-1)\) and all \(g\)-natural metrics on \(T_1 S^m\) [\textit{M. T. K. Abbassi} and \textit{O. Kowalski}, Differ. Geom. Appl. 28, No.~2, 131--139 (2010; Zbl 1190.53020)], they reconstruct, using a purely local procedure, the same well-known unique \(\text{SO}(m+1)\)-invariant homogeneous Einstein metric on the Stiefel manifold \(V_2\mathbb{R}^{m+1}\), \(m\neq 3\), initially constructed by \textit{S. Kobayashi} [Tohoku Math. J., II. Ser. 15, 121--139 (1963; Zbl 0114.37601)]. In particular, for \(m\geq 4\), the authors obtain that there is a unique Riemannian \(g\)-natural metric on \(T_1S^m\) which is Einstein.
