The orthogonal rational functions of Higgins and Christov and algebraically mapped Chebyshev polynomials (Q2638471)

In the book of \textit{J. R. Higgins} ``Completeness and basis properties of sets of special functions (1977; Zbl 0351.42021), pp. 59-64, some sets of rational functions orthogonal on \([-\infty,+\infty]\) were introduced by using Chebyshev polynomials. Similar sets were defined by C. I. Christov and the author. In this paper some convergence theorems for Higgins and Christov basis sets are proved and the relation between these two kinds of basis sets and the author's basis set is investigated.
