Fixed points of maps preserving perturbations of fibrations (Q2638608)

Let M be the total space of a fibration over a closed surface B of nonzero Euler characteristic. Assume that the fiber is closed, connected with first Betti number equal 1. For any number \(a>0\), the authors establish the existence of neighbourhoods V of Id in C(M) and W of the foliation by fibers in Fol(M) satisfying the following: If g belongs to V and preserves a foliation F belonging to W, then g preserves a leaf L of F and d(x,g(x))\(\leq a\) for a point x of L, where d denotes the distance in L induced by a fixed Riemannian metric on M.
