A catalog of the works of Jacob Hermann (1678-1733) (Q2639038)

Following a brief introduction, in which the life and work of Jacob Hermann is summarized (he belonged to the Bernoulli circle and was an important propagator of the Leibnizian calculus), a very carefully prepared catalogue of all of his books and papers (published or unpublished) is presented: 59 scientific publications, 17 manuscripts of scientific content and 15 entries of nonscientific content are listed. - A catalogue of Hermann's correspondence (more than 540 letters), prepared by the same author is also available in the University Library of Basel. Plans for publication are being discussed at present by the ``Bernoulli Edition der Naturforschenden Gesellschaft in Basel''.
