An arbitrary associative nil algebra of bounded degree is locally nilpotent. If the characteristic of the algebra is greater than the nil degree then such an algebra is nilpotent. A. I. Shirshov raised the questions on locally nilpotency of Jordan nil algebras of bounded degree and solvability of such algebras over a field of a large characteristic. Several years ago the author answered the question on locally nilpotency [Sib. Math. J. 23, 841-854 (1983); translation from Sib. Mat. Zh. 23, No.6, 100-116 (1982; Zbl 0526.17012)]. Here he shows that a Jordan nil algebra of bounded degree over a field of characteristic zero is solvable. To prove this theorem he uses new, very deep theoretical ideas which deal with superalgebras and skillful calculations as well.
