Each edge of the hypercubic lattice (in two or three dimensions) is designated open with probability p. In the subcritical phase, the chance that there exists an open path from 0 to x is no larger than exp(- \(\sigma\) (p)g(x)) for some \(\sigma (p)>0\) and some g(x) of order \(\| x\|_{\infty}\). A complementary inequality is established in this paper, in that it is proved that the probability in question is at least \(c(p)\| x\|_{\infty}^{-r} \exp (-\sigma (p)g(x))\) for some \(r>0\), \(c>0\).
