Let R be a finite dimensional, connected, selfinjective, representation- finite algebra over an algebraically closed field K. According to \textit{C. Riedtmann} [Comment. Math. Helv. 55, 199-224 (1980; Zbl 0444.16018)] with R is associated a Dynkin-graph \(\triangle =A_ n\), \(D_ n\), \(E_ 6\), \(E_ 7\), \(E_ 8\), the tree class of R. The main result of the paper is the following Theorem: Let R be of class \(A_ n\). Then (i) Every indecomposable R-module M is determined by its Loewy factors \(rad^ iM/rad^{i+1}M\), \(i=0,1,2,..\). and (ii) M is multiplicity free with respect to its Loewy factors (i.e. every simple R-module F occurs with multiplicity \(\leq 1\) in \(rad^ iM/rad^{i+1}M)\). Corollary: The assertion in particular holds for indecomposable modules of representation-finite blocks B of group algebras KG of finite groups G, a result which also is an immediate consequence of the description of the indecomposable B-modules given by \textit{G. Janusz} [Ann. Math., II. Ser. 89, 209-241 (1969; Zbl 0197.023)] and \textit{H. Kupisch} [Math. Z. 108, 77- 104 (1969; Zbl 0188.090)].
