Certain classes of scalar linear differential equations with time-varying coefficients are considered. A unified treatment in the study of both distributional and entire (polynomial) solutions is given. Necessary and sufficient conditions are presented for the simultaneous existence of distributional and analytic solutions of linear ODE and FDE.
