The author studies a parabolic Volterra integrodifferential equation with nonhomogeneous boundary condition \(u(t,x)=\psi (t,x)\) and a similar problem with infinite delay. She obtains some results about the existence, uniqueness, and regularity of solutions. The idea of the proof is to introduce the Dirichlet map \(D: C(\partial \Omega)\to C({\bar \Omega})\cap C^ 2(\Omega),\) where for any \(\psi \in C(\partial \Omega),\) D(\(\psi\)) is the solution of the Dirichlet problem having \(\psi\) as the boundary value, and to consider the integrodifferential problem with homogeneous boundary condition which has the solution \(u(t,x)-D\psi (t,x)\).
