A topological space (X,\(\tau\)) is called \(R_ 0\)-space or R-separated space iff whenever a singleton \(\{\) \(x\}\) is disjoint from a closed subset F of X its closure is also disjoint from F. This may be described by taking \({\mathcal H}=\tau\), \({\mathcal A}\) the family of all closed subsets, \({\mathcal D}\) the family of all singleton subsets of X and demanding that whenever a member A of \({\mathcal A}\) is disjoint from a member B of \({\mathcal D}\), there is an H in \({\mathcal H}\) that contains A but does not contain B. If \({\mathcal H}\) can be taken to be a countable subcollection of \(\tau\), one gets the property called countable R-separation. A weaker version `weak countable R-separation' is obtained by demanding only that H above does not contain the closure of B. Now, allowing \({\mathcal A}\) and \({\mathcal D}\) to be suitable general collections of subsets of X, one gets the properties named in the paper as `countable \({\mathcal A}-{\mathcal D}\)-separation' and `weak countable \({\mathcal A}-{\mathcal D}\)-separation'. The countable collection \({\mathcal H}\) leads to countable separating subcollections of suitably associated \(\sigma\)-algebras on \({\mathcal A}\). The author elaborately discusses these generalized properties and interrelations among them. Characterizations in terms of measurability of some sets constructed by means of multifunctions are given and measurability of some multifunctions in terms of their graphs is discussed.
