    The authors define the second wave front set WF in a way analogous to the definition of the first wave front set, using the Mellin transformation, instead of the Fourier transform. In particular they give another proof of Bony's theorem on propagation of 2-microlocal singularities: Theorem (Bony) - Let \({\overset \circ \xi}=(0,{\overset \circ \xi}')\) and suppose \(\nu\in SP(s,-\infty)\) microlocally at (0,\({\overset \circ \xi}\)) and \(\nu \in H^{s-1/2}\) microlocally at \((x_ 1,0,{\overset \circ \xi})\) where \(x_ 1<0\). If \(w=\partial \nu /\partial x_ 1\in SP(s-1,-1/2)\) microlocally at (0,\({\overset \circ \xi}\)) then \(\nu\in PS(s-\epsilon,-1/2)\) microlocally at (0,\({\overset \circ \xi}\)) for any \(\epsilon >0.\) Here \(u\in SP(s,s')\) if \((u\in D'(R^ n\setminus \{0\}):| x|^{-s+| \lambda |}D^{\lambda}u\in L^ 2(R^ n)\) for \(0\leq | \lambda | \leq s+s'\), \(\lambda =(\lambda_ 1,\lambda_ 2,\lambda_ 3,...,\lambda_ n)\in N^ n_ 0\), \(| \lambda | =\lambda_ 1+\lambda_ 2+...+\lambda_ n\) and \(s,s'\in R\) such that \(s+s'\in N_ 0\).
