[For the paper mentioned in the title, cf. ibid. 39, 365-372 (1987; Zbl 0631.53028).] The authors comment upon the discrepancy between bibliographical sources and reformulate some statements. Then they prove the following theorem: Let M be a compact orientable 3-manifold with contact metric structure (\(\phi\),X,\(\omega\),g), where g is critical for the Dirichlet energy \[ E(g)=(1/2)\int_{M}| L_ Xg|^ 2 vol(M,g). \] If there exists a constant \(a\in (0,1)\), such that \(c<2a\), and if \[ | \sigma |^ 2<2(a^ 2-\frac{c^ 2}{4})(\frac{r}{2}+\frac{c^ 2}{4}+1-2a- c), \] then M admits a contact metric of positive Ricci curvature \((r=scalar\) curvature). If, in addition, M is simply connected, it is diffeomorphic with the standard 3-sphere.
