The main purpose of the present survey is to consider some applications of the theory of spaces over algebras in the geometry of jet bundles. The paper consists of five chapters: (1) Local algebras (A); (2) A- differentiable functions; (3) The A-jet bundle; (4) Analytic prolongations of mappings; (5) The structure groups of an A-jet bundle. Note that this survey joins naturally to the surveys of \textit{A. P. Shirokov} [Itogi Nauki Tekhn., Ser. Algebra, Topologiya, Geom. 11, 153- 207 (1974; Zbl 0301.53018); ibid., Ser. Probl. Geom. 12, 61-95 (1981; Zbl 0479.53025)].
