This paper answers various questions of the reviewer concerning cardinal functions on Boolean algebras. Other results about Boolean algebras and related topics in set theory are proved as well. We state some but not all of the results in the paper. (1) The statement ``If D is a filter on \(\theta\) and for each \(i<\theta\), \(B_ i\) is a \(\lambda\)-cc BA, then \(\prod_{i<\theta}B_ i/D\) is a \(\mu\)-cc BA'' is independent of ZFC. (2) For most \(\lambda\), there are BAs \(B_ n\), \(n<\omega\) satisfying the \(\lambda\)-cc such that for any uniform ultrafilter D on \(\omega\), \(\prod_{n<\omega}B_ n/D\) does not satisfy \(\lambda\)-cc. (3) In ZFC, the length of \(\prod_{i<\kappa}B_ i\) cannot be computed from \(<length(B_ i):\) \(i<\kappa >\) alone. (4) Consistently, there is a regular ultrafilter D on \(\lambda\) such that for any BA B of power \(\leq \lambda\), in \(B^{\lambda}\) there is no linearly ordered subset of power \(2^{\lambda}\). [Remark 3.1A, that length(\(\prod_{i<\kappa}B_ i)/D\geq \prod_{i<\kappa}length(B_ i)/D\) for any ultrafilter D on \(\kappa\), is not correct.] (5) Results concerning attainment of spread, using entangled orders. (6) Results concerning pcf (a cofinality notion for partial orders). (7) If \(\aleph_{\omega_ 1}\) is strong limit and \(2^{\aleph_{\omega_ 1}}>\aleph_{\omega_ 1}\), then on \(\omega_ 1\) there is a Kurepa tree. (8) There is a Hausdorff space with a basis of clopen sets such that the diagonal is the intersection of countably many open sets.
