Let f be an additive function, \[ A(x)=\sum_{p\leq x}f(p)/p,\quad B^ 2(x)=\sum_{p\leq x}f^ 2(p)/p. \] The distribution of f(n) on the interval x-y\(\leq n\leq x\) is investigated where \(y=y(x)\to \infty\) and f is centered by A(x) and normed by B(x). For functions belonging to the Kubilius class H, analogs of Kubilius' theorems are proved under the assumption that \(y\geq x^{\epsilon}\) for some fixed positive \(\epsilon\). The case of limiting distribution without centering and norming is also considered, and the necessity of the Erdős-Wintner conditions is proved.
