This paper aims at studying the existence, uniqueness and stability of travelling wave fronts for some model arising in population dynamics. The model describes the evolution of a single species population with two ages classes moving around in an unbounded domain. The model is given by a non-local reaction-diffusion equation with delay. First, the authors investigate the existence of the so-called super- and sub-solutions for the model and prove the existence and uniqueness of the travelling wavefront which is globally asymptotically stable. The paper presents a new development in the theory of travelling wave solutions in the context of population dynamics that will have many applications in biological systems and related fields. The paper also presents some improvements of the previous work in the same subject done by \textit{X. Chen} [Adv. Differ. Equ. 2, 125--160 (1997; Zbl 1023.35513)] .
