This book deals with geometrizations of physical fields. The main emphasis is on theories with 4 and those with 5 space-time dimensions. Several types of deformations are considered, for example, those deformations of the flat Minkowski space-time, where the resulting metrical tensor can still be written globally in diagonal form. In detail, the first part of the book deals with the physics of deformed space-time, the second one with the mathematics of deformed space-time and the third one with experiments of deformed space-time, all these in four space-time dimensions. The next two parts deal analogously with five dimensions. Deformed special relativity is presented to cover all four interactions; to this end the whole approach of differential geometry of relativity theory is adapted to the class of theories considered here. For part III, essentially the Lorentz invariance breakdown, superluminal motion, and speed of gravity experiments are analyzed. Part IV is presented in the spirit of the Kaluza-Klein idea, and concentrates on 4-spaces which are embeddable into 5-dimensional ones. Almost 90 pages are given to the appendices which contain a lot of formulas in several subcases for the material used in the book. Reference list and subject index close this monograph valuable for specialists interested in this type of alternatives to General Relativity Theory.
