Let \(w = \{ w_z \}_{z\in \mathbb{Z}^n}\) be a positive sequence. For a sequence \(a = \{ a_z \}_{z \in \mathbb{Z}^n}\), let \(\| \{a_z \}_{ z \in \mathbb{Z}^n} \|_{\ell_w^q} = (\sum_{z \in \mathbb{Z}^n} | a_z| ^q w_z)^{1/q}, 0 < q < \infty\). Denote the cube \(\{ x = (x_1, \dots ,x_n) \in \mathbb{R}^n : | x_i| \leq 1/2, i = 1, \dots ,n\}\) by \(Q_0\) and for \(z \in \mathbb{Z}^n\) set \(Q_z = \{ x \in \mathbb{R}^n : x-z \in Q_0\}\). For \(0 < p,q < \infty\), the weighted amalgam space \((L^p, \ell_w^q)(\mathbb{R}^n)\) is defined to be the set of all \(f\) on \(\mathbb{R}^n\) such that \(\| f \|_{(L^p, \ell_w^q)} < \infty\), where \[ \| f \|_{(L^p, \ell_w^q)} = \| \{ \| f \|_{L^p(Q_z)} \}_{z \in \mathbb{Z}^n} \|_{\ell_w^q}. \] For \(1<p< \infty\), a positive sequence \(w = \{ w_z \}_{z \in \mathbb{Z}^n}\) is said to be in \(A_p( \mathbb{Z}^n )\) if \[ | w | _{A_p} = \sup_{Q} \left( \frac{1}{\#(Q \cap \mathbb{Z}^n)} \sum_{z \in Q} w_z \right) \left( \frac{1}{\#(Q \cap \mathbb{Z}^n)} \sum_{z \in Q} w_z^{-1 / (p-1)} \right)^{p-1} < +\infty , \] where the supremum is taken over all cubes \(Q\) in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) and \(\#(Q \cap \mathbb{Z}^n)\) is the number of \(z \in \mathbb{Z}^n\) which are in \(Q\). Denote by \(\Omega\) the set of all nonnegative, nondecreasing functions \(\omega\) on \((0, +\infty)\) such that \(\int_0^1 \omega(t) t^{-1} dt < +\infty\) and \(\omega(2t) \leq C\omega(t)\) for some constant \(C >0\). Let \(\omega \in \Omega\). The main result of this paper is that if \(T\) is a Calderón-Zygmund operator of type \(\omega\), then \(T\) is bounded on \((L^p, \ell_w^q)(\mathbb{R}^n)\) for \(1 < p,q <\infty\) and for \(w \in A_q( \mathbb{Z}^n)\). By placing different conditions on the weight \(w\), the authors prove a similar result concerning the boundedness of a Calderón-Zygmund operator for the case \(q = \infty\). It is also shown in this paper that if \(\ell_w^q\) is replaced by \(c_0\), then there exists a Calderón-Zygmund operator which is not bounded from \((L^p, c_0)(\mathbb{R}^n)\) to itself. Calderón-Zygmund operators are also discussed for the discrete case. The authors conclude the paper by giving an application of their results to iterated Riesz transforms.
