The authors derive the strong trace property for entropy solutions of a scalar conservation law \(\partial_t u+\partial_x A(u)=0\), \((t,x)\in\Omega\) in an open subset \(\Omega\subset {\mathbb R}^+\times {\mathbb R}\) with \(C^2\)~boundary \(\partial\Omega\). The flux function is assumed to be regular, \(A(u)\in C^2({\mathbb R})\). The main result is existence of the strong traces at \(\partial\Omega\) (~in the sense of convergence in \(L^1_{\text{loc}}\)~) for normal components of the extended entropy flux \((\eta(u),H(u))\), \(H'=A'\eta'\) for each entropy \(\eta\).
