    Let \((M,g)\) be a semi-Riemannian manifold of class \(C^{\infty }\) and dimension \(n\geq 3,\) \(\nabla\) and \(R\) the Levi-Civita connection and the Riemannian curvature tensor. \((M,g)\) is said to be semi-symmetric if \(R(X,Y)\circ R=0\) holds on \(M.\) \((M,g)\) is pseudo-symmetric if and only if \(R\circ R=L_RQ(R,g)\) holds on \(M\), where \(L_R\) is a function. Given an isometric immersion \(f:M\mapsto \widetilde M\), let \(h\) be the second fundamental form and \(\overline\nabla\) the van der Waerden-Bortolotti connection of \(M.\) The immersion is said to be parallel if \(\overline R(X,Y)\circ h= (\overline {\nabla }_X\overline {\nabla }_Y-\overline {\nabla }_Y\overline {\nabla }_X -\overline {\nabla }_{[X,Y]})h=0,\) holds for all \(X,Y\) tangent to \(M.\) The submanifolds satisfying the condition \(\overline {R}\circ h=LQ(g,h)\) are called pseudo-parallel. Let \(\widetilde M\) be a \((2n+1)\)-dimensional Sasakian manifold with structure tensors \(( \varphi, \xi , \eta , g).\) A plane section in \(T_x\widetilde M, x \in M\) is called a \(\varphi \)-section if it is spanned by a vector \(X\) orthogonal to \(\xi \) and \(\varphi X.\) The sectional curvature \(K(X, \varphi X)\) with respect to a \(\varphi \)-section determined by \(X\) is called the \(\varphi \)-sectional curvature. A Sasakian manifold with \(\varphi \)-sectional curvature \(c\) is a Sasakian space form. A submanifold \(M\) of a Sasakian manifold \(\widetilde M\) is called \(C\)-totally real submanifold if and only if \(\varphi (T_xM)\subset T^{\perp }_XM\), for all \(x \in M.\) In the present paper \(C\)-totally real minimal submanifolds \(M^n\) of Sasakian space forms \(\widetilde M^{2n+1}(c)\) of constant \(\varphi\)-sectional curvature \(c\) are characterized. It is shown that if \(M^n\) is pseudo-parallel and \(Ln-{1\over 4}(n(c+3)+c-1)\geq 0\) then \(M^n\) is totally geodesic.
