The present paper obtains extensions in terms of the heat kernel of a theorem of \textit{A. Miyachi} [Harmonic analysis seminar held at Izunagaoka, Japan, 44--51 (1997)], and a theorem of \textit{A. Bonami, B. Demange}, and \textit{Ph. Jaming} [Rev. Mat. Iberoam. 19, 23--55 (2003; Zbl 1037.42010)]. The extensions are made in terms of the Jacobi transform defined as \[ f^\wedge(\lambda)= \int f(x)\varphi_\lambda(x)\Delta_{\alpha,\beta}(x)\,dx, \] where \(\varphi_\lambda(x)\) is the Jacobi function of order \((\alpha,\beta)\), \(\Delta_{\alpha,\beta}\) is \((2\,\text{sinh}\,x)^{2\alpha+1}(2\,\text{cosh} \,x)^{2\beta+1}\), and the integration is over the real line.
