In this work, the author constructs some examples of \textit{big cells}, that is, suitable open neighborhoods of unit sections to be used like open charts. Besides the big Bruhat cells of split reductive group schemes, and some special type of big cells noticed by Loos (related to Jordan pairs), other examples are not frequently found in the literature. Jordan pairs of quadratic forms are generalized so that they have forms with values in invertible modules. These pairs turn out to be natural in the description of big cells of Clifford and orthogonal groups as group schemes. Let \((V,q)\) be a quadratic module which is regular of even rank or semiregular of odd rank. If \(P\) is any finitely generated projective module then \((V,q)\) embeds into \((\widetilde V,\tilde q):=(V,q)\bot{\mathbf H}(P)\), the orthogonal direct sum with the hyperbolic module of \(P\). Then the author wishes to extend certain embedding \(H\to G\) to an open embedding \(f\colon H\times H'\times\to G\) by juxtaposing other embedded groups as components and then he plans to describe the induced group germ structure on \(\text{im}(f)\). Thus \(G\) would be recovered in terms of group schemes easier to handle. A complete solution of this, in the case in which \(P\) has rank one is given in the paper. A generalization to higher ranks is an open question nowadays. In words of the author, this generalization would probably involve Cayley-Lipschitz transforms.
